Our Labor & Delivery (L&D) team is a caring team to each other as well as to their patients. Our L&D team is proud to offer a family centered, patient safety environment for our expecting patients. The goal for the patient and her family is to have a great experience during the addition to their family. The Obstetrics unit has 5 L&D rooms, 1 OR Suite, 2 NICU beds and 15 antepartum and post-partum private rooms, averaging approximately 350-400 deliveries per year.
How you'll contribute
A Registered Nurse who excels in this role:
- Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
- Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
- Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
- Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
- Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient

What we're looking for
Applicants should have a current North Carolina state or compact state RN license. Additional requirements include:
- Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire
- ACLS is required within 90 days of hire
- NRP Advanced certification is required within 90 days of hire
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification is required within 90 days of hire
- Associate's degree in nursing is required (Bachelor's degree is preferred)
- One year of RN experience in a health care OB/L&D/PP/Nursery setting is preferred
