• Employment Type: Locum tenens (Travel Contract)
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital-based outpatient pediatric physical therapy clinic
• Location: Reidsville, NC 27320 (North Carolina healthcare jobs)
• Start Date: October 7, 2025
• End Date: January 6, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day shift, Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts (08:45–17:15)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2300–$2360
• Patient Population: Primarily pediatrics (birth to 5 years), with flexibility to cover adult ortho/neuro as needed

Physical Therapist Qualifications

• Active North Carolina Physical Therapist (PT) license required
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric physical therapy experience (no first-time travelers)
• Previous outpatient pediatric PT experience required
• Experience working with birth to 5-year-old pediatric patients
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• EPIC EMR charting experience required
• Ability to complete all compliance requirements prior to start date
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Education verification through third party required
• Background check with no open cases
• Willingness to float to other hospital campuses as needed

Physical Therapist Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations, assessments, and treatments for pediatric patients with developmental delays, autism, torticollis, cerebral palsy, genetic abnormalities, and other conditions
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care with measurable short- and long-term goals
• Conduct milestone assessments and early intervention programs for pediatric patients
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety, and injury prevention strategies
• Utilize AROM, AAROM, PROM, body mechanics, strength testing, pain assessment, sensory response, and adaptive devices/equipment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team (PT/OT/ST) and utilize interpretation services as needed
• Document patient care accurately in EPIC EMR system
• Provide clinical support for adult orthopedic and neurological caseloads as needed
• Maintain compliance with all hospital policies and regulatory requirements
