Position Overview
We are seeking a technical Product Manager to lead the lifecycle of fiber optic connector products that support the growing demands of hyperscale data centers and cloud infrastructure. This role bridges the gap between engineering, marketing, and sales—guiding products from conception through development to commercial success.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with fiber optic connectors, understands data center architectures, and has a strong mix of technical aptitude and business acumen.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Ownership: Define and manage the product roadmap for connector solutions targeting hyperscale and enterprise data center customers.
- Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for new products or enhancements.
- Customer Engagement: Collaborate with Tier 1 cloud providers, OEMs, and infrastructure partners to gather VOC (Voice of Customer) and support product evaluations.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and marketing teams to drive product development and commercialization.
- Technical Expertise: Translate customer and market needs into clear technical requirements and value propositions.
- Travel: Attend trade shows, customer meetings, and industry events (25–50% travel required).
Requirements
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or related technical field (advanced degree a plus).
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in product management, applications engineering, or technical sales—preferably with a focus on fiber optic connectivity, data centers, or high-performance computing.
- Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of fiber optic connectors, cabling infrastructure, and network architectures.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to develop business cases, perform market analysis, and assess ROI for new product initiatives.
- Tools: Familiarity with PLM systems, CRM tools, and MS Office. Experience with CAD or simulation software is a plus.
