What Youll Do
- Oversee GLEs comprehensive records management program, including classified and unclassified materials.
- Act as the companys authority on document control and records management, advising leadership on compliance and best practices.
- Develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures for document creation, marking, retention, storage, and destruction.
- Manage and mentor a team of Document Management Specialists and Technical Writers, ensuring high-quality work and compliance.
- Lead the creation, revision, and control of technical and procedural documents such as programs, manuals, and instructions.
- Maintain secure access, permissions, and revision controls within electronic document management systems (EDMS).
- Conduct and support internal and external audits, addressing findings and ensuring continuous improvement.
- Provide training and education on document control and records management principles.
- Stay current on regulatory changes, standards, and technologies impacting documentation practices.
- Collaborate across departments to enhance accessibility, accuracy, and efficiency of document systems.
What Youll Bring
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Technical Communication, Information Management, or related field.
- 7+ years of document management and technical writing experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Expertise in records management, regulatory compliance, and documentation systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management software.
- U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE/NRC Q-Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the nuclear industry and familiarity with NQA-1 standards.
- Advanced understanding of federal regulations related to nuclear documentation.
- Experience leading teams using DevonWay or similar document management systems.
- Proven track record managing documentation in highly regulated technical environments.
