Payroll Processor POST NUMBER: 481238
Our client is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join their accounting team on a temp-to-hire basis. This role will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of semi-monthly payroll for approximately 300 employees. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently within a collaborative, lean accounting department.
This position offers immediate training and overlap with the current payroll process to ensure a smooth transition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process semi-monthly payroll for approximately 300 employees.
- Ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and timely distribution.
- Maintain payroll records and employee data.
- Review payroll reports and reconcile discrepancies as needed.
- Respond to employee payroll-related inquiries.
- Partner with accounting and HR teams to support payroll operations.
- Assist with payroll audits, reporting, and year-end payroll activities.
- Adhere to established payroll procedures and internal controls.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience processing full-cycle payroll for a workforce of similar size.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to quickly learn processes and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Paylocity.
- Prior experience in a nonprofit, educational, or school environment.
- Familiarity with payroll compliance and reporting requirements.
