RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a high-volume Emergency Department with over 100,000 annual visits
• Maintain patient ratios of 4:1 typically for medical patients, up to 7:1 on ED behavioral holds
• Manage 101-bed capacity emergency department
• Every other weekend scheduling requirement with flexible scheduling to meet department needs
• No floating outside of ED but must be open to floating to all sections within the ED
• Work with Baxter pumps, GE monitors, and Cerner documentation system
• Required certifications before start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• Navy scrubs required as uniform
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience with at least 1 year in ER setting required
• Level 2 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center experience preferred
• Must demonstrate teamwork mentality and ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
• Follow AIDET protocols, maintain respectful behavior, and ensure positive patient experience
• Keep patient boards updated with information throughout visit
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the ED required
