Key Job Details – Interventional Radiology Tech Travel Assignment

• Position: Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech)
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens / Travel Contract
• Location: Wilmington, NC 28401 (North Carolina healthcare jobs)
• Facility: Hospital – Endovascular Hybrid Suites
• Start Date: September 2, 2025
• End Date: December 2, 2025
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts (06:30 – 17:00)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2130 - $2180
• Call Requirement: One night per week and every third weekend
• Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend
• Orientation: 2 weeks (80 hours)
• Scrubs: Provided

Qualifications – Interventional Radiology Technologist

• Minimum 3 years of recent Interventional Radiology Tech experience (no first-time travelers)
• Experience in Trauma Level II hospital required; Trauma Level I preferred
• Active ARRT certification (R and VI or R and CV) – required for all radiology technologist jobs
• NC or Compact State Radiologic Technologist license (must be in hand by start date; pending OK for submission)
• Proficiency with Siemens and Philips imaging equipment, PACS, and c-arm operation
• Strong skills in angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, vascular closure systems, and a wide range of endovascular procedures
• Experience with Epic and Pyxis systems preferred
• Ability to float to other hospital units as needed
• Comfortable working during catastrophic events or disasters as part of the Storm/Hurricane Team
• Two recent manager/supervisor references highly preferred

Responsibilities – Travel Interventional Radiology Tech

• Assist surgeons in two endovascular hybrid suites, scrubbing into cases and maintaining a sterile field
• Operate and maintain Siemens and Philips imaging equipment during interventional radiology procedures
• Perform and support a variety of procedures: angioplasty, aortography, embolization, stent placement, and more
• Set up equipment, prep access sites, and ensure accurate monitoring throughout procedures
• Maintain inventory and stock supplies for the unit
• Adhere to strict isolation precautions and sterile technique protocols
• Utilize PACS for imaging and Epic for clinical documentation
• Participate in call rotation and provide coverage as required
• Support vascular surgeons during open and endovascular cases, including c-arm operation
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability by floating to other units as needed
