Dialysis RN Job Details

• Job Type: Locum tenens (Travel Nursing Contract)
• Location: Greensboro, NC 27401 (North Carolina healthcare jobs)
• Facility Setting: Hemodialysis Department (9 bays, 1 isolation room, telemetry monitoring)
• Shift Schedule: 3x12-hour day shifts (06:30 – 19:00), rotating weekends
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 9/9/2025, End: 12/9/2025)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1730 - $1770
• Float Requirement: May float between 3 Cone Health campuses
• Call Requirement: Sunday nights only
• Patient Population: Adults & geriatrics with end stage renal disease, acute kidney injury, metabolic imbalances, and more

Dialysis Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent dialysis RN experience (acute care inpatient dialysis preferred)
• Active Registered Nurse license (North Carolina or compact state)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system
• Skilled in AV fistula and AV graft cannulation
• Experience with peritoneal dialysis and acute care dialysis procedures
• Must pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)
• Ability to float between multiple campuses as needed
• Clear background check (no open cases)
• Education verification required (no schools from Diploma Fraud Florida Education Audit list)
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Dialysis RN Responsibilities

• Administer safe and effective hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and apheresis treatments
• Monitor and manage patients with complex medical-surgical or critical care diagnoses
• Operate Tablo Dialysis Devices, Baxter Amia PD Devices, and Spectra Optia Apheresis Devices
• Provide cardiac monitoring for patients on telemetry or requiring surveillance during treatments
• Perform dialysis procedures in department bays, isolation rooms, or at bedside in ICU as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, Pharmacy, Social Services, etc.)
• Float between campuses to support patient care needs across the Greensboro healthcare system
• Participate in orientation and complete required training modules
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, including attendance and scheduling flexibility
