Primary Care opening near Raleigh-Durham, NC * Located in *Oxford,NC * - just 29 miles to Durham * Full-time, permanent opening Seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician to join our healthcare team in Oxford, NC. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients in a rural setting, addressing a wide range of medical conditions and promoting overall wellness in the community. Key Responsibilities: *Patient Care: * * Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including history taking, physical exams, and diagnostic assessments * Develop and implement treatment plans for acute and chronic conditions * Perform routine and preventive care, including vaccinations, screenings, and health education * Manage common illnesses and injuries, and coordinate care for more complex cases * Provide care for patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics *Community Engagement: * Foster relationships with patients and their families, understanding and addressing their unique needs * Participate in community health initiatives and educational programs * Build trust within the community and advocate for the healthcare needs of the population *Collaboration and Coordination: * * Work collaboratively with other healthcare providers, including specialists, nurses, and support staff * Coordinate patient referrals and follow-up care as needed * Utilize telemedicine and other technologies to extend care and consultation *Administrative Duties: * * Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards * Manage administrative tasks, including patient scheduling and billing, as required * Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to practice guidelines *Emergency Care: * * Provide emergency medical care for urgent health issues when necessary * Be prepared to handle a wide range of medical emergencies in a rural setting *Professional Development: * * Stay current with medical advancements, best practices, and continuing education requirements * Participate in professional organizations and conferences relevant to primary care Qualifications: * Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school * Licensure: Valid medical license in NC or eligibility for licensure * Board Certification: Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related field * Experience: Previous experience in a rural or underserved setting is preferred but not required Skills: * Strong clinical skills with the ability to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * The ability to work independently and manage diverse patient needs * Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant technologies Working Conditions: * Environment: Clinic * Hours: Monday-Friday (8am-5pm) * Physical Requirements: the ability to perform medical procedures and lift/pull patients as needed Benefits: * Competitive salary and benefits package * Malpractice insurance coverage * Continuing medical education (CME) allowance * Opportunities for professional growth and community involvement Health System: For more than 90 years, Health System has been delivering quality health care close to home.
