Manager Finance Operations

Banyan Search is partnering with a private organization to identify a seasoned professional to oversee its Treasury, Cash Management, and Accounts Payable functions. This role carries direct responsibility for cash management, banking relationships, and the integrity of all disbursement activities.

The position requires a high degree of discretion, consistency, and personal accountability, and is well-suited for someone who takes pride in maintaining orderly and well-controlled financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the Company’s daily cash position, liquidity, and cash flow forecasting
• Manage banking relationships, including ongoing communication and transaction oversight (ACH, wires)
• Maintain and reconcile multiple accounts, ensuring accuracy and proper controls
• Direct and manage full-cycle Accounts Payable operations, with responsibility for process ownership and improvement
• Ensure timely and accurate vendor payments, approvals, and documentation
• Strengthen and uphold internal controls and financial procedures across treasury and disbursements
• Oversee credit card programs, expense reporting, and 1099 compliance
• Support month-end close and coordination with external accountants and auditors
• Promote a disciplined, organized approach to process improvement and standardization

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in treasury, cash management, or accounts payable oversight
• Prior experience with banking relationships and cash handling responsibilities
• Demonstrated supervisory or team leadership experience
• Working knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (Sage, Intacct, QuickBooks, or similar)
• Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and a high level of professionalism and discretion
• CPA, CMA, or advanced degree is a plus
