Marketing Technology Engineer
As part of the Global Marketing Technology organization, this position will play a critical role in developing solutions that create engaging digital experiences, drive customer demand, and enhance MetLife's Digital Marketing maturity. We are looking for an experienced marketing technology developer who thrives in a fast paced environment, enjoys complex architectural solutions, and is passionate about enhancing our digital marketing footprint. In this role, you will work in a SAFE Agile methodology with lines of business across the globe to identify technology opportunities and deliver digital solutions. The ideal candidate has intimate knowledge of marketing platforms and relishes in leveraging technology to enhance marketing decisions.
List of Responsibilities
- Technology Solutions: Execute the design, development, testing, and implementation of digital experience platform capabilities, with a particular focus integrating websites with web analytics and campaign management tools. Deep knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe AEM Assets, Adobe Analytics and related technologies including Java, HTML/DHTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, jQuery, web services.
- Marketing Focused: Collaborate with marketing teams for product development and campaign strategies and determine the technical scope while providing expertise and technical input.
- DevOps: Experience with automated deployments and AzDo to enhance the developer experience. Added benefit with experience in GitHub CoPilot to leverage AI for code creation, flaw detection, and unit test creation.
- Marketing Platforms: Working knowledge of key digital marketing capabilities including data management, marketing analytics, marketing automation and orchestration, decision/offer engines, personalization, multi-channel activation, and customer engagement. Experience with Adobe Experience Cloud is a must.
Required Experience
- 5+ years experience in Marketing Technology engineering with software developer experience.
- 5+ years experience in backend and front end development.
- 5+ years experience in the following Marketing Technology domains: Digital Marketing Platforms, Marketing Operations Technologies, Middleware for Digital Marketing, Backend Platforms for Digital Marketing, Social Marketing, Digital Marketing Infrastructures.
- 3+ years of Experience in using Adobe Tag Management - Adobe Launch
- 2+ years experience working directly with strategic business leaders.
Preferred Experience
- Bachelor or Master's degree in a related technology discipline.
- 2+ years experience in the following platforms: Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Experience Platform (CDP), Adobe Campaign, Marketo, Medallia, Decibel, Sprinklr.
- Strong understanding of the Marketing Technology landscape with an ability to articulate and navigate the breadth of solutions and partners in this field.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a global environment with matrix organizational management.
- Communications and presentation master, with the ability to articulate complex technology designs at all levels of the organization.
- Experience in technology transformations, either within global organizations or through start-up companies leading transformative shifts.
- Experience integrating marketing applications with other enterprise applications, as well as internal and external data sources.
- Exposure to user experience design and best practices
- Start-up minded, with a lean towards action and test & learn practices.
