What You’ll Do

• Own bank reconciliations, adjusting journal entries, and general ledger postings
• Assist with month-end and year-end closings
• Draft response letters to IRS and state notices as needed
• Prepare/adjust trial balances in support of business tax return preparation
• Deliver services within budgeted time; strengthen technical, time-management, and organizational skills
• Prepare and file payroll reports and payroll tax returns
• Prepare and submit sales/use tax filings

What You’ll Bring (Essential)

• 3+ years in a public accounting firm
• Hands-on experience with payrolls, payroll tax returns, and sales tax returns
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online
• Strong MS Office skills
• Clear written and verbal communication; solid research and memo-writing skills
• Comfort working in a paperless environment
• Education: Associate’s in Accounting (preferred)

Nice to Have (Preferred, not required)

• Experience preparing individual (Form 1040) and business income tax returns
• Proven experience making adjusting entries to ready client books for tax return preparation
