Empire National is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced CDL Class A Driver to work as a co-driver (team driving). We already have a driver ready for you to partner with in Greensboro, NC.
In this position, you will be paired with an assigned driver and share driving responsibilities to safely and efficiently transport goods, ensuring on-time deliveries and excellent service.
Compensation:
- Up to $0.67 CPM for each driver
- Performance-based bonuses
- Fuel and maintenance incentives
Responsibilities:
- Operate Class A commercial motor vehicles alongside your co-driver, following all state and federal regulations
- Transport goods over assigned routes while maintaining safety and delivery schedules
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safe and reliable operation
- Coordinate driving shifts with your assigned partner to maximize efficiency
- Maintain accurate records of hours of service, fuel usage, and delivery documentation
- Communicate professionally with dispatchers, customers, and team members
Requirements:
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and medical card
- Willingness to work as a co-driver (team driving)
- Experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, ELD units, tablet, etc.)
- Ability to drive long hours
- Must not be prohibited in the DOT Clearinghouse
- Must be at least 23 years old
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) – No DUI in the last 5 years
- Ability to follow instructions and complete required safety training
- Preferably 2+ years of experience
- Flexibility with departure schedules
