Coordinator II, Asset Protection
Position Overview
As a team member of the Asset Protection Department, you will assist with the responsibility of protection of company assets to include the building, contents, and well-being of all associates. Coordinate daily duties within the department, completing schedules, write / update Standard Operating Procedures, assist with AP processes, training, and special projects as assigned.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Observes daily operations in all departments to detect and prevent violations of company policies to include: theft, safety, personal and property hazards and report violations per Asset Protection procedures.
Monitor and control the access of all personnel and vehicles entering and leaving the property.
Conduct warehouse shortage and fire protection audits and report findings in an organized manner to AP management.
Monitor and properly operate a Closed-Circuit Television System and troubleshoot CCTV system as needed.
Monitor the Fire Protection Systems, and conduct periodic system testing, ensuring all fire audits are completed on time and complete training with associates on these audits
Maintain all Hot Work Orders / Red Tag Impairment and ensure the training of all associates on the current insurance standards and protocols
Assist with maintaining weekly GPS Physical Audits
Audit and order needed supplies for each post
Ensure audits are completed and documented as required. Advise AP Management of opportunities / deficiencies
• Timely response to all alarms and security notifications for the NC Campus.
• Monitor daily operations of the Shipping and Receiving departments, as it relates to AP.
• Ensures compliance of truck yard security / seal maintenance of all trailers / yard audits and ensure the yard audit is accurate and all discrepancies have been corrected and documented to AP Management.
• Processes all Inbound / Outbound trailers, as it relates to AP policies and documentation.
• Coordinates all incoming calls and emergency response situations.
• Assist with the building evacuation drills in the event of actual emergency and / or periodic drills.
• Monitor the mechanical lay-out of the building, machinery shut-offs and controls, electrical panels and domestic supply shut- offs.
• Maintain and write incident reports and record statements within the guidelines of company policies and procedures.
• Rotate position / shifts on a scheduled basis with Asset Protection Associates / Coordinators if needed.
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior Loss Prevention or related experience preferred for a minimum of one (1) year.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Email, Power Point, PKMS, PDA, report writing and RF usage.
• Have a working knowledge of warehouse operations.
• Understand and be proficient in the coverage of the fire protection systems.
• Current knowledge of State and Federal criminal laws pertaining to retail operations.
• Ability to collect facts from all sources and report the same without personal bias or embellishment in both verbal and written form.
• Ability to control and diffuse potentially violent and stressful situations.
• Ability to communicate in an effective and timely manner
• Proven ability to organize multiple project schedules and meet shifting priorities.
• Proven ability to develop effective working relationships at all organizational levels.
