What Makes This Role Special

We're seeking a Staff Accountant/Accounts Payable specialist who's ready to dive into the action with us! This isn't your standard accounting office position – you'll be an essential part of a team that keeps the financial wheels turning in our dynamic auction environment. Your Day-to-Day Adventures

• Manage accounts payable operations including vendor invoices, payments, and reconciliations
• Handle consigner settlements and dealer payment processing with precision
• Reconcile auction sales, fees, and commissions daily
• Maintain detailed financial records and support month-end closing procedures
• Work your magic both as part of our fantastic team and independently when needed
• Become our go-to expert for auction financial processes and problem-solving
• Support Tuesday auction day operations ensuring smooth financial flow
• Assist with special projects and financial analysis as needed

What We're Looking For (The Must-Haves)

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of accounting/accounts payable experience (this is the big one!) and some experience with high-volume transaction processing
• Experience in automotive, auction, or wholesale industries (not required, but we'd be impressed!)
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and ability to pass our background check and drug screening
• Must be proficient in QuickBooks, treasury software, and processing posts and transfers; Excel and database management skills required
• Ability to maintain accuracy while processing high volumes of transactions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for vendor and dealer interactions
• Excellent time management and ability to meet tight deadlines
• Analytical thinking to resolve discrepancies and process issues
• Ability to coordinate with auction staff, management, and external partners
• Comfort working in a fast-paced auction environment with varying daily demands
