About the Company

Senior-level leader in the construction and building services industry, responsible for supervising all plumbing-related activities on a project site or across multiple job sites. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all plumbing works are executed according to plans, specifications, codes, and standards, while also meeting project timelines and budgets. The Plumbing Superintendent acts as a bridge between project managers, engineers, forepersons, subcontractors, and labor crews, ensuring safe, efficient, and quality-driven outcomes for plumbing installations and repairs.

This role is pivotal in ensuring that all plumbing works are executed according to plans, specifications, codes, and standards, while also meeting project timelines and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Project Planning and Coordination:
• Review project blueprints, specifications, and plumbing codes to develop comprehensive work plans.
• Coordinate with project managers and engineers to schedule manpower, materials, and equipment for plumbing tasks.
• Attend site meetings to provide updates on plumbing progress and resolve design or logistical conflicts.
• Collaborate with general contractors, architects, and other trade superintendents to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion.
• Supervision and Leadership:
• Lead and supervise plumbing crews, subcontractors, and journeypersons on site.
• Assign daily tasks, monitor productivity, and ensure workforce adheres to safety protocols.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

• Inspect completed plumbing installations and ongoing work to ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Oversee testing procedures for pipes, fixtures, and systems to verify proper operation and detect leaks or defects.
• Prepare for and coordinate inspections with local authorities and regulatory agencies.
• Maintain detailed documentation of inspections, corrections, and approvals.
• Project Reporting and Administration:
• Maintain daily job logs, field reports, and project documentation.
• Track labor hours, costs, and productivity metrics for plumbing operations.
• Participate in project closeouts, punch lists, and handover documentation.
• Prepare and submit reports to upper management on schedule status and challenges.
