**Position Overview**
The Tech 1, Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) role is responsible for ensuring the efficiency and operational reliability of the instrumentation and controls that support facility-wide equipment, and facility systems through effective Corrective and Preventive (CAPA) Maintenance and Calibration practices and know-how.

**Job Description**
**What You'll Do**
+ Performs general instrumentation and controls troubleshooting, repairs, preventive and corrective maintenance to all site equipment, systems, process measurement and control, utility, laboratory, and bench-top instrumentation
+ Performs calibrations to instrumentation and controls
+ Follows standard procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) quality standards
+ Performs loop checks for new instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
+ Assists and performs lock out tag out (LOTO) as required to complete I&C/Metrology activities
+ Adheres to all safety requirements and follows safe work practices
+ Notifies management or Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) when unsafe conditions or hazards are found
+ Attends all required and safety and health training
+ Supports site operations and emergency work orders during off-hours, as needed
+ Performs spare parts assessments, as required
+ Performs other duties, as assigned
**Knowledge & Skills**
+ Knowledge of electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical systems
+ Effective communication, both written and oral
+ Ability to work in a team environment
+ Must be able to support 24/7 manufacturing facility, including shift, on-call and weekends
**Required Skills**
+ High School Diploma/GED
+ 1-2 years of I&C experience
+ Experience with tools and equipment used to perform maintenance work
**Preferred Skills**
+ Associates degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering or a related field
+ Prior I&C experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing or other regulated environment
+ Experience with troubleshooting instrumentation and controls
+ Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS), such as ProCalV5, Blue Mountain, Maximo, Infor EAM, etc.
+ Experience with Microsoft Office or other computer software
