Legal Assistant -Social Security Disability

Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking a dependable and professional Legal Assistant for Social Security Disability for the front desk to join their client's legal office in Wilkesboro, North Carolina. This long-term, temp-to-hire opportunity offers a consistent schedule from Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a one-hour lunch break.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of front desk or receptionist experience, strong Microsoft Office skills, and a positive, professional demeanor. Prior experience in a law office is preferred but not required. This role will support daily reception responsibilities while assisting with Social Security Disability case-related administrative tasks. Training will be provided on Caret Legal software.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and manage front desk operations
• Answer and direct incoming calls
• Schedule appointments and maintain office calendars
• Prepare, organize, and file documents
• Provide administrative support for Social Security Disability cases
• Utilize Microsoft Office and legal case management software (training provided)

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of receptionist, front desk, or administrative experience
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Professional demeanor
• Reliable transportation and excellent attendance
• Legal office experience preferred

Required Work Hours

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)

Additional Details

Pay: $18-$20/hour, depending on experience
