Key Job Details – Pediatric Social Worker (Travel, Asheville, NC)
- Location: Asheville, NC 28801 – Join the healthcare community in a city known for its vibrant arts, historic charm, and scenic Blue Ridge Mountains.
- Healthcare Setting: Pediatric Mental Health Unit (24 beds, 1:8 patient ratio)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM (8-hour shifts)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (August 18, 2025 – November 17, 2025)
- Employment Type: Travel contract for social workers
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,870 - $1,920
- On-site Only: No remote or floating; all work performed on-site
- EMR System: Cerner
- Master's degree in Social Work or a related field
- Active LSW license in North Carolina (required for healthcare jobs in NC)
- At least 1 year of clinical social work experience, preferably in pediatric or behavioral health settings
- Certifications: CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention), BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Strong assessment, counseling, and group facilitation skills
- Professional attire (business casual; jeans allowed on Fridays)
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans for pediatric patients
- Lead family sessions, individual counseling, and group therapy in a clinical setting
- Participate in daily treatment team meetings with psychiatrists, advanced practice providers (APPs), registered nurses (RNs), and behavioral health technicians
- Document all interventions and patient progress in the Cerner EMR system
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare staff to ensure high-quality patient care and positive outcomes
