Position Overview:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the company’s facilities, yard, and equipment. Performs a variety of maintenance and repair tasks including electrical, mechanical, and HVAC. Conducts routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform specific duties during both operating and non-operating hours in a timely manner.
- Monitor performance of equipment and inform maintenance supervisors of potential problems.
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Assist with facility upgrades, renovations, and equipment installations.
- Conducts routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency breakdowns.
- Respond to maintenance requests and work orders promptly.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed.
- Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and request new materials as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in facility maintenance or related field.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in various environments (indoors/outdoors, heights, confined spaces)
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
- Bilingual a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders, reach, squat, push, and pull objects.
- Ability to regularly lift 50lbs and occasionally lift up to 100lbs.
- Ability to tolerate working outdoors in all temperatures and weather conditions.
- Ability to lift objects of various dimensions and weights.
