Continuous Improvement HSE Technician
Continuous Improvement Specialist __ Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the deployment of the continuous improvement strategy for a local organizational unit, including promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Each day, you will mentor and coach teams to achieve operational excellence and drive improved results. You will also showcase your expertise by deploying and leading projects to improve and sustain local business performance. The work model for the role is: #LI-onsite. This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions in Pinetops, NC. You will be mainly accountable for:
- Working hand on hand with others team member for the detection, design and implementation of HSE Improvements.
- Drive improvements focusing on workstations design & build up, ergonomics, fixturing, tooling, layout design, material/product flow that will lead to HSE Improvement. Also focus on keeping and improving Quality and productivity.
- Hands on design and execution of improvements, build up and set up on the factory.
- Facilitating the training of direct and indirect team members during start-ups.
- Preparing technical documentation and ensuring optimal efficiency in methods, performance and materials/components.
- Defining action plans and training maintenance and production resources to ensure smooth implementation of new processes.
- Associate Degree in program related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience working on design and implementation of mechanical projects (design & execution of fixturing, wiring, flow systems, etc.).
- Proficiency on 3D cad software and 3D printing is a must (preferable Solidworks).
- Ability to understand mechanical drawings.
- Knowledge and experience on automation is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate and work with diverse discipline project teams.
- Ability to learn new methods and technologies.
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
