Full-Time Family Assistant in the South Park Area for Two Children Ages 3 and 6 Years Old

Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in the South Park area of Charlotte, NC, in finding a Full-Time Family Assistant for their two children, ages 6 and 3 years old. The Family Assistant would typically be needed Monday - Friday, 11:00 am - 5:00 pm (the family is flexible on hours, and can provide more hours a week if needed). There may also be an occasional need for babysitting on Saturday nights.

The best Family Assistant for this family would be kind, patient, and confident in caring for children, providing warmth and consistency. The Family Assistant should be engaging, safety-minded, and genuinely enjoy staying active and involved in the children’s daily routines.

Responsibilities include coming in and taking care of household management tasks, then doing school pick-ups (6-year-old at 2:50 PM and 3-year-old shortly after), preparing snacks, supervising playtime, assisting with baths, and helping the children get ready for the next day. The family values a Family Assistant who will keep the kids active, including outdoor play on their backyard playground, neighborhood playdates, crafts, coloring, and activity kits. Screen time is minimal in the home, and the children are encouraged to stay active and engaged instead of watching TV.

The family’s 3-year-old has well-managed epilepsy and takes daily medication to manage it. With parent permission, the Family Assistant may occasionally administer prescribed medication to the children. Comfort following clear medical instructions is important.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting the daily scheduling needs of the children

• Picking up the children from school

• Engaging with the children on an age-appropriate level both inside and outside the home

• Doing hands-on learning activities with the children

• Planning and attending playdates

• Ensuring the children are ready for the next day of school

Household Duties Include (Children are first priority):

• Children’s laundry and changing children’s sheets weekly

• Children’s meal prep

• Unloading/loading dishwasher and wiping down kitchen counters as needed

• Organizing and rotating clothes and toys

• Errands as needed

• Putting groceries away as needed

Pets:

The family has a small Cavapoo who is like the 3rd child. If mom is not around, the Family Assistant would be responsible for letting him out, or the kids may want to take him for a walk.

If they are traveling, the Family Assistant would be given the opportunity to care for the dog while they are gone (with extra compensation). If the Family Assistant is not available, the family has another person who can watch their dog as needed.

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional Nanny, Household Management, or Family Assistant experience

• Have a college degree or equivalent experience

• Have a professional resume

• Fill out a complete online application

• Pass a national background check, including a driving record check

• Have a valid driver’s license

• Have safe and reliable transportation

• Have a minimum of three professional references

• Be non-smoking/vaping

• CPR and First Aid Certified

• Family Assistant should be fluent in English; any additional languages, especially Spanish, are a plus

Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

• This position starts ideally on March 9th, 2026

• Legal pay is offered at $27.00 per hour, negotiable depending on experience
