Med-Surg Nurse (RN) - Charlotte, NC
- Shifts available: days (7a-7p) and nights (7p-7a)
- Rotating weekends (every other weekend)
- No on-call requirements
- Holiday coverage required at 75% of holidays
- 6-week scheduling cycles
- Up to 6 days off (excluding holidays) can be requested; extended time off requires contract extension Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg-Telemetry RN experience preferred (Resource Team)
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation, stroke care, trach care, PIV starts, chest tube and drain management, NGT placement, administering cardiac drips, blood products, and IV fluids
- Experience with Epic EMR, Alaris pumps, Phillips monitors, and Omnicell dispensing systems
- Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to diverse adult/geriatric populations
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions; interpret telemetry strips; manage acute changes
- Collaborate with charge nurses, CNAs, physicians, and allied health professionals for comprehensive care
- Demonstrate flexibility to float within regional facilities, as needed, consistent with scope of practice
- Participate in a thorough orientation and ongoing training
- Ensure adherence to infection control, regulatory, and documentation guidelines
