Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Traveler Experience: Unit accepts first-time travelers Skills: Med/Surg; Telemetry; Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias; Remote monitoring; Use of Rapid Response/Code teams; Bowel obstruction; Colostomy/ileostomy management; Feeding tube care; Pre/Post Hemodialysis management; Renal failure; Blood product administration; Central line blood draw; Peripheral line care; Phlebotomy; PICC line management; Starting and maintaining IVs; Insulin administration; PCA; Chest tube management; Non-invasive airway management; Oxygen administration; Infection control; Wound care management; Description: Applicants must start on the specified date. Candidates must pass EKG testing prior to starting for this specialty. This unit handles a variety of patient diagnoses including diabetes, dementia, COVID, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, encephalopathy, GI bleed, anemia, hip fractures, CHF, UTI, and other surgical recovery cases. The nursing staff is expected to manage patient ratios of 1:6. The shift is a night shift from 18:45 to 07:15. Candidates may be required to float to other departments as needed. There is a requirement to work every other weekend. All staff must be open to working during emergencies or disasters. Nursing staff will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services. Previous charge experience is preferred, along with experience in electronic documentation systems. Candidates’ experience in community hospital settings is highly valued. About Cynet Health
