Facilities Maintenance & Reliability Lead (Food Processing)

Location: Greater Greensboro, NC area

A day in this role

You start your morning on the production floor, checking line status and safety readiness. You huddle with a small team of preventive maintenance and repair technicians—plus facilities and warehouse support—to prioritize the day’s work. Using the CMMS, you assign PMs, triage reactive jobs, and verify the right parts are in stock. Throughout the day, you coach techs, coordinate with operations and planning, and keep an eye on recurring equipment issues so you can drive lasting fixes. When contractors arrive for facility projects, you ensure they’re briefed, compliant, and on schedule. Before you wrap, you update documentation, confirm HACCP checks, and prepare for tomorrow’s production meeting.

What you’ll own

• Leading a day-shift team focused on preventive maintenance and reactive repairs, plus facilities and warehouse support
• Scheduling, assigning, and verifying timely, high-quality PM and repair execution via CMMS (Ultimo experience is a plus)
• Embedding LOTO, 5S, and HACCP practices to ensure a safe, compliant, and well-organized workplace
• Coordinating and overseeing outside contractors for facility and maintenance projects
• Managing spare parts inventory and maintaining accurate documentation
• Supporting daily production meetings; serving as the point of contact for operations, reliability, and planning
• Investigating recurring equipment faults and implementing process improvements

About you

• 5+ years leading maintenance in a manufacturing environment
• Hands-on experience with automation, fast-moving conveyors, packaging equipment, and PLCs
• Food or Beverage background ideal; CPG, pharma, or other fast-moving consumer goods experience welcomed
• Strong mechanical/electrical knowledge, including pneumatics, motors, and controls
• Proven people leadership—coaching, developing, and elevating technician performance
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred; Associate’s degree with relevant leadership experience considered
• English required; conversational Spanish is a plus

Compensation & schedule

• $75,000 – $95,000 target annual comp
• Relocation assistance available
• Monday–Friday, day-shift schedule with some flexibility required
