We are seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial Electrician to join our growing team. This is a travel-based position, with job sites located throughout the Southeast U.S. You will start from our Gastonia, NC office every Monday morning and return home on most weekends. (Must live within 1 hour of Gastonia, NC.)

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Electrician to handle electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs for healthcare construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety compliance. You must be available for regional travel from Monday to Friday, with weekends at home.

Key Responsibilities:

Electrical Installation and Maintenance:

• Perform electrical installations, including wiring, panel setup, and fixture connections in commercial healthcare facilities.
• Conduct maintenance, testing, and repairs on electrical systems to ensure reliability and compliance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues efficiently, minimizing downtime.
• Adhere to local electrical codes, OSHA safety standards, and project-specific protocols.
• Install and maintain circuit breakers, transformers, generators, conduit systems, and power distribution.

Blueprint Interpretation and Compliance:

• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical diagrams, and schematics to execute precise electrical layouts.
• Perform code-compliant installations according to NEC standards and healthcare regulations.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and service records.
• Verify all electrical connections and components are securely installed and meet quality standards.

Collaboration and Coordination:

• Work closely with project managers, supervisors, and other trades to maintain project schedules.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure workflow efficiency.
• Assist with equipment setup and system testing in medical environments.
• Provide progress updates to supervisors and document completed tasks.

Travel and Work Schedule:

• Travel to regional job sites throughout the Southeast U.S. from Monday to Friday.
• Return home on most weekends.
• Start from Gastonia, NC office by 7:00 AM every Monday.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Qualifications:

Experience:

• Proven experience as a Commercial Electrician; experience in healthcare environments is a plus.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics.
• Strong knowledge of wiring methods, code compliance, and commercial installations.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and perform repairs.

Technical Skills:

• Skilled in using electrical testing tools, multimeters, conduit benders, and power drills.
• Familiarity with electrical safety practices and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to work with high-voltage systems and perform risk assessments.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
