At Wegmans, our sous chefs utilize their culinary talents and managerial skills to run the day-to-day operation of the restaurant operation and kitchen. In this role, you will oversee a team of cooks and passionate employees who ensure we are serving the best and highest quality culinary items to our customers.
**What You'll Do**
+ Oversee the day-to-day operation of the kitchen
+ Offer meal and recipe suggestions to customers to inspire them to recreate these offerings at home
+ Share the company vision with employees and ensure the team is maximizing efficiencies
+ Ensure items are prepared with consistency, high-quality and stand out to customers
+ Create excitement and educate others about new programs at Wegmans
**Requirements**
+ Experience working as a lead cook
+ Supervisor/leadership experience
**Preferred Experience**
+ Experience cooking different types of cuisines in a professional setting
+ Experience working with a multi-faceted food service facility, including restaurant, hotel, country club, conference center, etc.
