Our Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program (SAIOP) helps individuals reclaim their lives, and we’re seeking a Facilitator who is passionate about guiding people through recovery.

Objective

Ensure the effective delivery of patient care and maintain compliance with all agency, state, and federal standards through SAIOP programming.

Required Skills, Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required (Master’s preferred)
• Experience in mental health or substance abuse counseling
• CADC, LCAS, or LCAS-A (preferred but not required)

️ Responsibilities & Duties

Clinical Care

• Welcome and orient new consumers to the program.
• Facilitate Matrix Model SAIOP groups (Monday–Friday; weekend coverage if needed).
• Maintain an active caseload, including individual therapy sessions (20+ minutes every other week or as clinically indicated).
• Provide crisis intervention, linking consumers to inpatient or community resources as needed.
• Offer case management and help consumers overcome barriers such as childcare, transportation, and housing.
• Maintain updated consents for treatment planning and coordination.
• Enforce agency rules to ensure a safe, supportive environment.
• Document all consumer interactions in EMR within required timelines.
• Obtain UDS samples as appropriate.
• Participate in bi-weekly clinical supervision with the SA Director.

Administrative Excellence

• Complete discharges and transition plans within required timeframes.
• Monitor census stability and replace discharged consumers when possible.
• Maintain and update treatment plans (PCPs) and crisis plans.
• Ensure compliance with documentation standards (NC TOPPS, EMR notes, Crisis Plans).
• Coordinate with primary care, psychiatry, and other departments to support whole-person care.
• Attend all required agency meetings and trainings.

Community & In-Reach

• Coordinate services with consumers’ treatment teams and community providers.
• Conduct outreach and motivational interviews for absent or non-compliant consumers.
• Advocate for clients in the community (legal, housing, CPS, etc.).
• Participate in outreach events to strengthen community relationships.
