SAP FI/CO Architect

Architectural Leadership & Template Design
Solution Architecture: Architect, design, and implement global templates for SAP FI/CO solutions, ensuring high system performance, scalability, and adherence to "Clean Core" standards.
Process Blueprinting: Lead business workshops and fit-to-standard analysis to translate complex accounting, reporting, and operational tax requirements into functional designs.
System Roadmap: Define the roadmap for moving legacy systems (ECC) to S/4HANA or implementing new S/4HANA Finance functionalities.
Core Module Configuration & Integration
SAP FI (Financials): Deep hands-on configuration of General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Bank Ledger/New Cash Management, and Taxes.
SAP CO (Controlling): Expert configuration of Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Profit Center Accounting (PCA), Internal Orders (IO), Product Costing (CO-PC), and Profitability Analysis (CO-PA / Margin Analysis).
Cross-Module Integration: Architect seamless touchpoints between FI/CO and logistics modules (MM, SD, PP) to ensure accurate automatic account assignment and data consistency.
Governance, Reporting, & Advisory
Technical Governance: Oversee custom developments (RICEFW), ensuring that functional specifications, ABAP reviews, and system configurations are executed to high standards.
Financial Reporting: Design real-time analytical queries and dashboards using Fiori apps, CDS views, and standard SAP reporting tools.
Stakeholder Management: Act as a trusted adviser to the CFO, group controller, and local finance teams, clarifying how SAP architecture supports critical closing activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years of SAP FI/CO implementation experience, with at least one full lifecycle implementation or major upgrade on SAP S/4HANA.
System Knowledge: Advanced expertise in S/4HANA Finance, including the Central Finance concept, Universal Journal (ACDOCA), and Parallel Ledger solutions.
Financial Foundations: Solid comprehension of general ledger accounting, profit/cost allocation models, multi-currency valuation, corporate tax requirements, and international standards (IFRS / US GAAP).
Analytical Mindset: Excellent ability to analyze end-to-end business workflows and debug configuration/integration bottlenecks in hybrid landscapes.
Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to deliver technical architecture concepts clearly to business and executive audiences.
Preferred/Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience integrating SAP FI/CO with enterprise reporting platforms like SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or SAP Group Reporting.
Basic understanding of ABAP debugging and standard SAP API/OData integrations.
