Role Overview

We're in search of a Babbitting Expertise Technician to undertake the critical task of applying babbitt to raw materials. This process is integral to our production line. Join our vibrant team if you have the expertise in handling molten metals and can ensure the proficiency in babbitting techniques.

Key Duties

• Conduct thorough cleaning and disassembly of fluid film bearings
• Perform grit blasting processes efficiently
• Set up and operate spin casting machinery
• Implement molten babbitt applications using static or spin casting methods

Desired Qualifications

• Familiar with foundry and casting room equipment
• Understanding of ferrous versus non-ferrous materials
• Proficient in Tig welding and other fabrication techniques
• Experienced with acetylene torch and furnace operations
• Skillful in overhead crane usage
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Outstanding communication abilities with team collaboration skills
• Independently driven with proactive mindset
• Navigate effectively with routings, drawings, and process sheets

Work Environment & Challenges

• Experience indoor foundry settings with extensive hot work
• Able to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly
• Dynamic physical ability including stooping, bending, crawling, and reaching
• Skillful in interpreting complex data and instructions
