Respiratory Therapist Job Details

• Position: Locum Tenens Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
• Location: Fayetteville, NC – Hospital Respiratory Therapy Unit
• Shift: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts per week (18:00 - 06:00)
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 9/8/2025, End: 12/8/2025)
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holidays required
• Floating: May float within scope or between like units as needed
• Charting System: Epic EMR
• Scrub Color: Solid Black or Black and White
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,720 - $1,770 per week

Certified Respiratory Therapist Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent hospital CRT experience
• Active state or compact Certified Respiratory Therapist license
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Experience providing respiratory care for both adult and pediatric ICU patients
• Ability to float between respiratory therapy units and similar hospital departments
• Must pass Advanced EKG exam as part of compliance requirements
• Return staff policy: Must be away for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates not accepted within a 50-mile radius of the main campus
• Maximum of 4 days of requested time off (RTO); only 1 holiday allowed

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality respiratory care to patients in a busy hospital and trauma center setting
• Provide therapy and diagnostics for adult and pediatric ICU populations
• Float between respiratory therapy units and other like units as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams in a Level III Trauma Center
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR
• Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled
• Follow hospital policies regarding callouts and makeup shifts
