Analytics Senior Manager - Merchant Services
About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking an Analytics Senior Manager to support the Merchant Services organization. This role is a senior leadership position responsible for leading a team of analytics and reporting professionals and partnering closely with Merchant Services leadership to deliver data‑driven insights that enable strategic decision‑making.
The Analytics Senior Manager will play a critical role in Merchant Services’ continued transformation and our commitment to help customers succeed financially by delivering on our vision and brand promise. This highly visible position reports to the Director of Merchant Services Analytics & Insights and collaborates extensively with senior leaders across Merchant Services to define analytics priorities, guide analytical strategy, and ensure high‑quality execution.
The successful candidate will balance people leadership, strategic thinking, and hands‑on analytical oversight . This role goes beyond producing analysis and requires someone who can translate complex data into compelling stories, influence decision‑makers at all levels, and ensure the team consistently separates signal from noise.
In this role, you will:Lead, coach, and develop a team of consultants, setting clear expectations, providing ongoing feedback, and supporting career growth.
Establish standards and best practices to ensure consistency, accuracy, and impact across all deliverables.
Partner with senior business leaders to identify and prioritize translating business questions into a forward‑looking analytics or reporting roadmap.
Oversee analyses that inform business cases for new products, pricing strategies, and targeted merchant segments.
Oversee development of reports and dashboards that provide merchant services with insights and information to achieve their objectives.
Ensure statistical rigor in analyses, including identification of meaningful differences in performance by industry, segment, or cohort.
Support high‑visibility data requests, including audits, regulatory reviews, and executive presentations.
Ensure team operations align with established procedures, compliance requirements, and risk management policies.
Drive adoption of new tools, technologies, and analytical methods to continuously elevate team capabilities.
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
3+ years of management or leadership experience.
Desired Qualifications:
7+ years of experience leading end‑to‑end analytical / reporting work, including framing problems, conducting analysis, synthesizing insights, and influencing leadership decisions.
Prior experience managing or leading analytics / reporting professionals, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail and data quality.
Demonstrated ability to interpret customer and operational data, identify themes, and translate insights into clear business recommendations.
Deep understanding of statistical and advanced analytics techniques, including hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and machine learning.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools; strong data storytelling skills using PowerPoint.
Working knowledge of SQL, SAS, Python, or R.
Proven ability to influence strategic decisions across pricing, product, sales, service models, or organizational performance.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to executive, technical, and non‑technical audiences.
Strong project and people management skills, with the ability to lead multiple concurrent initiatives.
Comfort collaborating and influencing across lines of business and with partners in different locations.
Experience in the payments processing or credit card industry, with knowledge of Merchant Services products and services.
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM or social sciences field.
Job Expectations:
Ability to travel up to 10%.
Position will require onsite presence at one of the required locations listed below in a hybrid work schedule.
Flexibility to support global teams across time zones.

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
$139,000.00 - $260,000.00Benefits
