Responsibilities * Perform work specified on repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards * Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools/special service equipment to identify issues * Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning * Communicate directly with Service Advisors to keep customers informed of additional service needs and time estimates * Execute warranty repairs to Ford manufacturer specifications Qualifications * 2+ years of automotive service technician experience preferred * High school diploma or equivalent * Ford Certification preferred (we provide training opportunities if not currently certified) * Previous Ford dealership experience is a plus * Strong diagnostic, electrical, and engine repair abilities * Excellent mechanical and troubleshooting skills with ability to use electronic diagnostic equipment * Positive, team-oriented attitude with eagerness to learn * Strong customer service and basic computer skills * Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record We are an equal opportunity employer and prohibit discrimination/harassment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
