• Location: Greensboro, NC 27401 (Central North Carolina)
• Healthcare Setting: Medical/Surgical Telemetry Unit
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (September 16, 2025 – December 16, 2025)
• Nursing Shifts: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (7:00pm – 7:00am)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1820-$1870
• Employment Type: Locum tenens, travel nursing
• Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics
• Unit Size: 30 beds, average daily census 16
• Charting System: EPIC

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system
• Ability to pass mandatory EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• Experience with patient ratios of 1:6
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Willingness to float to other units/campuses as needed
• Not accepting local candidates within a 50-mile radius

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with medical, surgical, and telemetry needs
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; respond rapidly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, blood products, and manage IVs, PICC lines, and surgical drains
• Perform wound care, feeding tube management, colostomy care, and respiratory support (CPAP/BiPAP)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services
• Float to other nursing units and campuses as required
• Participate in palliative, end-of-life, and hospice care
• Accurately document patient care using EPIC
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, including attendance and scheduling flexibility
