Altium Printed Circuit Board Designer

Acara Solution is looking for a Altium Printed Circuit Board Designer for Our client located in McLeansville, NC.

Here's what you'd do:

• As a Printed Circuit Board Designer for Undersea Systems, you'll support Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) development for electronics used in high-reliability undersea communication systems.
• Documentation capture, including (bill of material parts lists, ODB++ digital fabrication packages, 3D model generation)
• Support the design and development of Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) for undersea communication systems.
• Utilize Altium for Printed Circuit Board design and layout.
• Manage and maintain component libraries and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design specifications are met.
• Communicate effectively with suppliers regarding design documentation.

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree with 7 years of experience
• Minimum of 4 years of experience using Altium for Printed Circuit Board design.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

• Experience with Altium Designer 27 or Altium IPC footprint and schematic generators
• Experience with library management practices in Altium or Xpedition.
• Knowledge of PCB layout tools from the Mentor Graphics suite (xDM, Xpedition, DXdatabook, BoardStation, Hyperlynx).
• Experience with schematic capture in Xpedition and Altium is valuable.
• 3D modeling in Solidworks, NX, or CREO.
• Experience with Footprint Expert.
• Circuit design and hands-on prototyping experience.
• Basic knowledge of IPC and manufacturing standards.
• In-depth knowledge of Circuit Card Assemblies fabrication techniques.
• Ability to communicate with suppliers when asked to provide clarification on design documentation packages.
