Java Developer

Akkodis is seeking a Java Developer for a Contract job with a client in Charlotte, NC (hybrid). Responsibilities include leading solution design, developing high-volume applications, building restful web services, and coordinating teams to deliver technical solutions in a matrixed environment.

Rate Range: $63/hour to $65/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Java Developer job responsibilities include:

• Leading solution design and application development for high-volume business environments.

• Developing and maintaining server-side applications using Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and other Spring Framework technologies.

• Building and consuming RESTful web services and ensuring integration with external systems.

• Writing unit tests using JUnit and ensuring code quality through reviews and testing.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions within a matrixed organization.

• Utilizing tools like GIT, Maven, and Eclipse to manage code and perform version control.

• Troubleshooting and optimizing application performance, including JVM tuning.

• Providing technical guidance and mentoring to team members, ensuring adherence to best practices.

• Participating in code reviews and driving improvements within the team.

• Engaging in Agile methodologies and contributing to continuous improvement in development processes.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.

• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience.

• Strong expertise in Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and RESTful web services.

• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as GIT, Maven, and Eclipse.

Pay Details: $63.00 to $65.00 per hour
