Dump Truck Company Bookkeeper
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our dump truck company. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth financial operations of the company. Your primary duties will include recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, generating financial reports, and assisting with payroll processing. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and a solid understanding of bookkeeping principles.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the dump truck company.
- Record financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Assist with payroll processing, including calculating hours worked and ensuring accurate deductions.
- Generate financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies or trends.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.
- Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of payroll processing and familiarity with relevant laws and regulations.
- High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles preferred.
- Certification in bookkeeping or accounting (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper) is a plus.
