Citi Travel Partnerships, Marketing and Account Development, Senior Vice President (Hybrid)
The Citi Travel Partnerships, Marketing and Account Development, Senior Vice President (Hybrid) is responsible for setting and executing a forward‑looking marketing strategy designed to drive growth, deepen customer engagement, and unlock innovative ways to expand the Citi Travel business. The role will lead the development of new and modern marketing approaches that elevate the Citi Travel value proposition, enhance partner marketing execution, and strengthen consumer adoption.
The role leads the day‑to‑day management of Citi’s partnership with Rocket, including oversight of contractual discussions, negotiation of enhancements, evaluation of partnership performance, and activation of new opportunities. This role will also explore and cultivate new business opportunities across the travel landscape—identifying strategic partners, new revenue streams, and differentiated customer experiences that position Citi Travel for sustained growth.
Responsibilities:
Develop and lead Citi Travel’s end‑to‑end marketing strategy , establishing a long‑term roadmap that drives customer acquisition, engagement, and retention through innovative, data‑driven marketing approaches.
Create integrated marketing plans that support the Citi Travel brand, strengthen product positioning, and introduce compelling new ways for customers to discover and utilize travel offerings.
Design and launch new marketing initiatives that leverage emerging trends, new channels, and evolving customer behaviors to expand Citi Travel’s market reach.
Oversee day‑to‑day partnership management with Rocket , ensuring seamless operational alignment, performance monitoring, compliance with contractual obligations, and proactive resolution of partnership challenges.
Lead all ongoing contract discussions with Rocket , including negotiating enhancements, recommending strategic modifications, and ensuring value delivery aligned to Citi’s commercial and customer goals.
Identify and evaluate new partnership opportunities in the travel industry to expand Citi Travel’s ecosystem, improve the product offering, and create new avenues for growth.
Drive cross‑functional collaboration across marketing, product, technology, legal, and external partners to ensure timely and effective execution of joint initiatives.
Conduct market analysis and maintain competitive intelligence to understand trends in the travel industry, partner strategies, customer preferences, and digital marketing innovation.
Develop partner marketing strategies that maximize joint value creation, improve customer communication, and strengthen the Citi‑Rocket partnership execution.
Lead account development activities , ensuring partners deliver against performance expectations and identifying opportunities to deepen the value of each relationship.
Build and manage executive‑level relationships with key stakeholders across Rocket and future strategic partners.
Ensure transparency, risk management, and compliance in all partnership and marketing activities, maintaining alignment with Citi’s regulatory and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in marketing, partnerships, business development, or related disciplines, with a strong track record of driving growth through innovative marketing and partner strategies.
Deep experience in travel, loyalty, fintech, or consumer digital platforms , including understanding of industry dynamics, partner ecosystems, and competitive trends.
Proven expertise in managing large‑scale strategic partnerships , including contract negotiations, partner performance management, and joint business planning.
Demonstrated success developing and executing integrated marketing strategies across digital, brand, CRM, and product‑led channels.
Strong commercial acumen , with the ability to identify and evaluate new business opportunities and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
Executive‑level communication and influencing skills , with experience presenting to senior leadership and managing high‑visibility partner relationships.
Experience leading cross‑functional teams and driving alignment across product, marketing, analytics, legal, and technology organizations.
Ability to think strategically and execute operationally , balancing long‑term vision with day‑to‑day partnership and marketing management.
Demonstrated analytical capabilities , including familiarity with data‑driven marketing, customer insights, and performance measurement.
Build and manage executive‑level relationships with key stakeholders across Rocket and future strategic partners.
Ensure transparency, risk management, and compliance in all partnership and marketing activities, maintaining alignment with Citi’s regulatory and ethical standards.
