LOCUMS NP/PA Hospitalist Needed in Nags Head, NC

ECU Health Physicians and The Outer Banks Health Hospital located in Nags Head, North Carolina, are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide locums coverage for their Hospitalist program, mainly to focus on admissions, consults, and co-management of ED holds and admitted patients. NP/PA must have an active NC License and DEA. New NP/PA will need to come in the day before their first scheduled shift for orientation.

Dates Coverage Is Needed:

• 7am-7pm: 9/18-9/20, 10/3-10/6
• 7pm-7am: 12/26, 2pm-10pm: 10/5-10/9, 10/12-10/16, 10/19-10/23, 11/2-11/6, 11/16-11/30, 12/4-12/18, 12/21-12/25, 12/28-1/1

Opportunity Highlights include:

• Inpatient only - will only accept candidates with inpatient experience within the last 12 months
• Established hospitalist service including 2 physicians and 4 Advanced Practice Providers
• Privileges at The Outer Banks Health Hospital
• Average patients per day per APP: 8-10
• Average admissions per day: 4-6 during the day and 5-7 at night
• Locums will respond to codes but not in the ED
• Locums will not serve as backup in the Emergency Department but will consult on holds in the ED.
• BLS and ACLS are required
