Qualifications / Experience:
- Active RN license
- Two years of nursing experience, with at least one year in an emergency room
- Previous experience in Level II trauma or comprehensive stroke centers with >100,000 annual visits preferred
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS (ENPC within 90 days of hire)
- Strong teamwork, adaptability, and real-time feedback/coaching skills
- Flexibility to work across all ED sections and a dedication to continuous professional growth
Schedule / Hours:
- Every other weekend required
- Scheduling aligns with department needs (no block scheduling available)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient-centered, respectful emergency care
- Maintain detailed documentation via Cerner EMR
- Perform clinical procedures per advanced qualification
- Engage in AIDET communication and consistently update patient boards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including techs and unit clerks
