Interventional Radiology Technologist Job Details

• Location: Asheville, NC 28801 (North Carolina healthcare job)
• Facility Setting: Hospital – Interventional Radiology Department
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (travel healthcare contract)
• Start Date: September 29, 2025
• End Date: December 29, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, 8-hour day shifts
• Hours per Week: 40
• Weekend/On-Call: Every 7th weekend; one night secondary call during the week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,370 - $2,430

Qualifications – Interventional Radiology Technologist

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist (scrub and circulate)
• Neurointerventional radiology experience preferred
• Proficient with moderate sedation procedures
• Current BLS certification required
• Vascular OR and Cath Lab experience preferred
• VI Registered (Vascular Interventional) preferred
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a range of interventional radiology procedures: dialysis work (Permcaths, fistulagrams), neph tubes, arteriograms/embolizations, Y-90, G tubes, TIPS, and Inari cases
• Assist with neurointerventional procedures: cerebral arteriograms, coilings, pipelines, mechanical thrombectomies, vertebroplasties
• Scrub and circulate in IR and neurointerventional cases
• Administer moderate sedation as needed
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including technologists, nurses, and physicians
• Accurately document procedures and patient information in Cerner (Radnet) EMR
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment in compliance with hospital policies
