Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings - carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
**Role Purpose**
We are seeking a creative and motivated Multimedia Intern to join our team. This entry-level position provides hands-on experience in multimedia production, including video editing, photography, 3D design, and digital content creation. The intern will work closely with our multimedia team to support various projects and marketing initiatives.

**Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Support the development of a centralized asset library by cataloging and organizing existing 3D models and multimedia files.
+ Assist in creating and editing imagery using software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro).
+ Support video production, including lighting, shooting, and post-production editing
+ Help with product and event photography in studio and field environments.
+ Contribute to the creation and animation of 2D and 3D elements.
+ Collaborate with team members on multimedia projects to meet organizational objectives.
+ Maintain organization and management of multimedia assets.
**Education and Experience:**
+ Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Multimedia, Video Production, Animation, or a related field.
+ Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2026 (May-August 2026) with a graduation date of December 2026 or later
+ Be interested in working for Corning, Inc after graduation, if presented with a full-time job opportunity.
+ Be willing to work at the posted job location
+ Experience or coursework in multimedia production, video editing, or animation is a plus
**Required Skills:**
+ Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite tools (e.g., Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects).
+ Familiarity with 3D design and animation software such as Maya or Keyshot.
+ Basic understanding of video production and photography techniques.
+ Strong organizational and time-management skills.
+ Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
+ Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
**Desired Skills (a plus but not required):**
+ Knowledge of studio photography and lighting setups.
+ Experience with compositing and animating 2D and 3D content.

The range for this position is $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 biweekly. Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
