Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Winston Salem, NC (27103) – North Carolina healthcare jobs
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1660 - $1700
• Assignment Length: 16-20 week contracts (up to 20 weeks)
• Start Date: September 2, 2025
• End Date: January 20, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour nights (18:45 - 07:15)
• Hours per Week: 36-48 hours (3-4 shifts per week)
• Unit: 9 North Tower Med/Surg Telemetry – 30 beds, average census 29
• Scheduling: Self-scheduling, confirmed by unit
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Float Requirement: Floating required within hospital or affiliate hospitals
• Orientation: 24 hours unit orientation plus hospital orientation during week one
• Scrubs: Navy Blue

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience in a hospital setting
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state (required at start)
• BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification – AHA preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Proficient in telemetry, EKG interpretation, and dysrhythmia management
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Epic charting experience preferred
• IV start skills preferred
• Ability to float to other medical-surgical units as needed
• Must be available for all orientation days and able to work 2 out of 3 major holidays if assignment overlaps

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a general medical-surgical floor with diverse diagnoses
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, recognize and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
• Administer medications and blood products, manage central and peripheral IV lines
• Implement isolation precautions and provide non-invasive airway management as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV therapy, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response
• Utilize EPIC, Pyxis, and SBAR for accurate documentation and communication
• Participate in self-scheduling and adapt to a fast-paced, team-oriented hospital environment
• Float to other units within the hospital or affiliate hospitals as required
