Survey Project Manager
D. H. Griffin Infrastructure has an immediate opening for a Survey Project Manager.
D.H. Griffin Infrastructure is the Heavy Civil Construction component of the D.H. Griffin Companies. DHGI has built on top of decades of success in the wrecking and demolition industries to become one of the premier Heavy Civil contractors in North Carolina. D.H. Griffin Infrastructure is a Licensed NC Surveying Firm that provides construction layout and as-built services as part of our construction projects.
The Survey Project Manager will work closely with our Survey Manager and Site Project Managers to oversee and coordinate the surveying needs across 5 or 6 active construction projects. This role is critical in overseeing the successful completion of our construction projects by ensuring the plans are accurately executed and the work is well documented throughout all phases of our projects.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
· Support and manage surveying operations on 5-6 active construction sites by collaborating with site Project Managers to develop a balanced stakeout schedule.
· Attend regular project meetings to assess current and upcoming survey and stakeout needs while also anticipating and preventing errors and ensuring adherence to surveying procedures.
· Supervise and manage a dedicated field surveyor to execute timely and accurate stakeout.
· Review and verify recorded as-built survey data and conduct on-site verification of inconsistencies.
· Coordinate and/or perform UAS drone-based photogrammetry surveys on projects to provide quantity estimates to the Project Management team.
· Training Survey Crews and on-site construction personnel in the operation of survey equipment, software, and procedures.
Additional responsibilities may include:
· Produce project as-builts and perform minor model updates using Trimble Business Center.
· Performing site calibrations and other project support services.
· Provide guidance to crews performing As-Built surveys and create submittals.
· Position may require up to 20% travel.
Requirements:
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction surveying or survey project management.
· Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Effective communication and leadership abilities.
· Proficiency in AutoCAD and an understanding of construction plans and survey data.
· Must Possess a valid state driver’s license.
· Must be able to attain an FAA Part 107 Drone Operators License.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Knowledge of Trimble Construction equipment and software including: Trimble Business Center, Earthworks, Siteworks, GCS900, SPS900, Access etc.
· Familiarity with CADD software including: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, Topcon 3D Office, Agtek, Paydirt, Microstation
