Job Description & Responsibilities:

SAC will possess the following qualifications and carry out the subsequent duties as follows:

Qualifications

• Current Peer Support Certification
• Valid driver's license with good driving record
• Minimum of 1 year working with the adult Mental Health/Substance Use population, preferably in a community setting

Responsibilities

· Assist clients with self-determination and decision-making

• Model recovery values, attitudes, beliefs, and personal action to encourage wellness
• Teach and promote self-advocacy and wellness management
• Provide linkage to community resources
• Maintain and submit required documentation (treatment plans, WRAP, service notes, service authorization requests, etc.)
• Build professional relationships with community agencies and referral sources to establish and maintain Spring Life as a resource for individuals desiring peer support recovery
• Collaborate with Qualified Professional, Licensed Professional and members in identifying interventions aimed at helping members reach their goals as outlined in the treatment plan

Job Types: Contract, Part-time, Full-time

Salary: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Kinston, NC 28501: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

• Addiction counseling: 1 year (Preferred)
