GCP Administrator

Kforce has a client in Charlotte, NC that is seeking a GCP Administrator. Summary: The Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operations, stability, and security of cloud infrastructure supporting enterprise applications, data platforms, and analytics workloads. This is a hands-on production support role with a strong emphasis on monitoring, incident response, and operational discipline. Responsibilities:

• Administer and support Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments across compute, networking, storage, and identity access management
• Monitor system health, availability, and performance using cloud monitoring and logging tools
• Respond to production incidents, outages, and escalations, including root cause analysis and remediation
• Perform patching, vulnerability remediation, and cloud security hardening activities
• Support cloud-hosted applications, including data and analytics platforms
• Work within established incident management, change control, and escalation processes
• Collaborate with global delivery teams, including onshore and offshore resources
• Create and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and standard procedures
• Support compliance, audit readiness, and security best practices within cloud environments
• Hands-on experience administering and monitoring Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments
• Strong experience with incident response and production support in cloud environments
• Experience with Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, or equivalent monitoring tools
• Working knowledge of cloud security, including patching, vulnerability management, and remediation
• Strong Linux and shell scripting experience
• Experience using enterprise ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, or Remedy
• Solid understanding of operational processes, including incident management and change control

• Additional cloud security exposure or certifications
• Experience with Terraform or infrastructure-as-code tools
• Experience supporting Apache NiFi or cloud-based data pipelines
