Financial Services – Senior Associate (Transactional)

About the role
We’re partnering with a large, nationally recognized Am Law 200 firm in the Southeast to hire a Financial Services Senior Associate for its finance practice. This is a sophisticated transactional role working on complex credit facilities and leveraged finance matters for major financial institutions and corporate clients.

What you’ll do

• Lead and support complex finance transactions as part of a national Financial Services practice

• Draft, review, and negotiate loan documents for syndicated credit facilities and leveraged finance deals

• Work closely with partners and clients on structuring, documenting, and closing secured and unsecured lending transactions

• Manage deal timelines, coordinate with opposing counsel, and help drive transactions to close

• Mentor junior associates and contribute to internal know-how and best practices

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years of experience in finance transactional law

• Strong working knowledge of syndicated credit facilities and leveraged finance transactions

• Excellent academic background and strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Licensed (or willing to become licensed) in North Carolina or South Carolina

• Comfortable working in a high-performance, collaborative law firm environment

Team & platform

• Join a large, well-established Financial Services group with multiple specialist teams (including securitization, renewable energy project finance, syndicated loans, public bonds, and real estate finance)

• Work on high-value, complex matters for leading financial institutions and corporate clients

Work setup & compensation

• Full-time, hybrid role with 3 days per week in-office

• Location: Charlotte, NC or Charleston, SC
