Systems Engineer

Accentuate Staffing is working with a company in the insurance industry that is hiring a Systems Engineer. This client provides essential property insurance to property owners in North Carolina and is located in Cary, NC. We are looking for someone to manage and optimize their IT infrastructure in a hybrid work environment.

In this role, you’ll go beyond troubleshooting everyday IT issues. You’ll be responsible for managing and optimizing their entire IT infrastructure, streamlining workflows through application analysis, and automating processes to boost efficiency. Collaboration is key, as you’ll work closely with various departments to ensure their technological needs are met. Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, test, and maintain critical infrastructure systems
• Evaluate business applications and recommend improvements for enhanced efficiency
• Proactively identify and troubleshoot IT issues, developing practical solutions
• Automate workflows to streamline processes and boost productivity
• Collaborate effectively with various departments to support their technological needs
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members
• Continuously refine business continuity plans to minimize downtime in case of disruptions

Requirements:

• Experience in a relevant IT field In-depth understanding of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
• Proven ability to manage Windows Server and Active Directory environments
• Experience administering Office 365 and the MS Exchange messaging platform
• Solid grasp of access management and multi-factor authentication protocols
• Working knowledge of networking concepts and Cisco equipment
• Experience configuring and managing firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint protection solutions
• Scripting experience with Windows PowerShell
• The ability to manage secure certificates effectively
• Experience administering SaaS applications (Linux/Unix, HCI, SharePoint, and patch management a plus)
