About the Job
We’re looking for a Senior Account Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of mid‑market Education customers (K‑12 and Higher Education). This role is well‑suited for someone who enjoys building long‑term customer relationships, identifying opportunities for expansion, and guiding customers through complex decision‑making processes.
In this role, you will own a book of business and drive account growth, retention, and overall customer success. You’ll work closely with customers to understand their goals, recommend solutions, and deliver measurable value over time.
We’re especially interested in candidates who take initiative, stay organized, and approach their work with curiosity and accountability. You’ll be trusted to manage your territory independently while partnering closely with internal teams.
What you will do
- Manage and grow a portfolio of mid‑market Education accounts
- Develop trusted relationships with customers and key collaborators
- Identify, qualify, and close expansion opportunities within existing accounts
- Navigate complex sales cycles, including education and public sector procurement
- Act as a trusted advisor by understanding customer priorities and aligning solutions
- Forecast accurately, manage pipeline health, and consistently work toward revenue goals
- Collaborate with sales, customer success, marketing, and leadership teams
- Prepare for meetings with clear objectives, insights, and follow‑through
- Balance multiple accounts and priorities while staying organized and responsive
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment
What you need
- At least 5 years of experience in sales, account management, or a related role
- Experience managing and growing customer accounts
- Demonstrated ability to work toward revenue or growth targets
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- Comfort working independently and taking ownership of outcomes
- Problem‑solving skills and sound business judgment
- A growth mindset and curiosity about continuous learning
- CRM experience (Salesforce preferred)
- Proficiency with standard business tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and virtual collaboration platforms
- Bachelors Degree
- SaaS or software sales experience
- Education, Government, or Public Sector customer experience
- Familiarity with procurement‑driven or regulated buying environments
- Experience working with senior‑level or executive stakeholders
