Dental Front Desk / Patient Care Coordinator - Equinox Dental (Indian Trail / Monroe, NC)

Experience Required:
Equinox Dental is a start-up general practice in Union County offering advanced services in-house, including implant placement and endodontics. Our Front Desk / Patient Care Coordinator works closely with the dentist and clinical team as a key part of the patient experience — often the first and last point of contact for every patient who walks through our doors.

This role goes beyond scheduling. You'll help patients feel welcomed and informed, guide them through treatment plans and financial conversations, and help grow the practice through proactive outreach. We're structuring the schedule around a 4-day work week.

What You'll Do.
Patient Care & Scheduling:
  • Check patients in and out, and manage day-to-day scheduling with the team.
  • Schedule recall and hygiene appointments to keep patients on track with their care.
  • Make outbound calls to patients for scheduling, reminders, and recalls.
  • Make lead calls to prospective patients inquiring about the practice.


Financial & Treatment Coordination:

  • Collect patient payments and manage day-to-day financial transactions.
  • Present treatment plans to patients, or work alongside a treatment plan coordinator.
  • Work with insurance claims and the insurance team.
  • Handle patient balances and respond to billing questions.


Practice Operations:

  • Help implement office procedures and policies as directed by Equinox management.
  • Support marketing and outreach efforts.
  • Work with the broader team to maintain smooth office operations.
  • Help maintain office cleanliness, including waiting areas, operatories, lobbies, restrooms, and front office appearance.


What You Bring:

  • Recent experience in a dental office strongly preferred.
  • Comfort handling people — patients, team members, and the doctor — with professionalism and warmth.
  • Willingness to learn and grow with the practice.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Education beyond high school preferred; a background in business, health administration, or a related field is a plus.


Compensation & Benefits:

  • Pay: $21–$24/hr, based on experience.
  • Schedule: Likely a 4-day work week.
  • Paid time off.
